James Bradford, who is my great-great-great grandfather, was born in North Carolina the year of 1791. He worked as a blacksmith and later married Sarah J. She was born in South Carolina. They had my great-great grandmother, Hester Bradford on July 18, 1867. James later died in 1871. Hester married John J. Neal who was born on February 21,1860. John came to Dade County when he was 19 years old and worked in the furnace in Rising Fawn guarding prisoners. Hester was a mid-wife, which is a person who goes to people’s houses and delivers babies. John and Hester had nine children, one of which was my great grandfather, Lunsford Neal. Lunsford was born on May 30, 1898 in New Salem. Later, John J. died on March 15, 1933 and Hester died on May 22, 1942. Lunsford married Jessie P. Bradford. She was born on May 25, 1901. Lunsford and Jessie had eight children (five boys and three girls), one of which was my grandmother, Alline Lois Neal. Alline was bom on December 23, 1930 in Dade County. Lunsford died of a stroke on December 3, 1981 on Lookout Mountain and Jessie died of a heart attack on September 12, 1988 in Fort Oglethorpe. Floyd and Alline had five children. Their firstborn died at birth. They later had Danny Cameron, who is my father, on June 20, 1961 in Lafayette, GA. He married Sheryl Brittingham (my mother) on May 23, 1982. I was born on August 16, 1981 in Sunrise, FL. Sheryl was born on July 6, 1962 in Pompano Beach, FL. Her biological father is Henry Pavillard, but she was adopted and raised by Charles Brittingham. Her mother is Adrienne Lee Moore, who was born on January 6, 1941 in Bartow, Florida. Adrienne has a paternal cousin who was born on the Mayflower. Adrienne’s parents were Amos Russell Moore, who was born on January 11, 1910 in Illinois and Margaret O’Brien, who was born on July 14,1912 in Indiana. They were married on December 24, 1937.
