Gladys Irene Moore, born 02-09-1910, died 05-25-1993, married William Paul Craig, born 08-13-1907, died 08-15-1990.  Irene is the daughter of Clarence L. Moore and Minnie Lou Cox Moore.  Paul is the son of N. A. Craig (Andy) born 02-16-1885, died 04-28-1967 and Etta Walker Craig born 02-28-1887, died 12-14-1981.

Irene and Paul had two daughters, Anita Joyce Craig, born and died 02-23-1933, and Gladys Joan Craig, born 09-01-1937, died 07-30-1989.

Gladys Joan married Bobby Gifford from Trenton, GA. They are the parents of Timothy Gifford, who moved to Atlanta, GA. and Julia Gifford, who lives in Chattanooga, TN. where she attends the University of Tennessee. Her goal is to pursue a career in the medical profession. Delores Pennington, daughter of Irene’s sister Leota, lived with them while she was in high school Leota and her husband Walter were killed in a train car accident in 1937. “Dee” and Joan were just like sisters.

Paul retired from U. S. Pipe Company in Chattanooga. Irene worked at Mountain Top Shopping Center after the children were grown.

They made their home on Lookout Mountain, Hinkle Community. Their last two homes were at West Brow on Highway 157.

Joan and Bobby had a home in the same neighborhood. They later divorced. She was employed by Singer Cobble in Chattanooga, TN.

After a lingering bout with cancer Joan died and is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery beside her parents.

Anita Joyce is buried in Hawkins Cemetery, New Salem Community on Lookout Mountain, GA.
