Walter Jackson Moore was born May 18, 1883 in Rising Fawn GA, the son of John Moore and Delia Warren. He married Fannie Nola Gray on June 13, 1909 by the Rev P.A. McKaig. Walter died on October 23, 1953 and was buried in the Hawkins Cemetery in the New Salem community on Lookout Mountain.

Fannie Nola was born on October 22, 1892 also in Rising Fawn to William Gray and Sarah Anne Stephens. She died January 18, 1969 and was buried next to her husband.

Their children (all born in Rising Fawn) were: Lela Idella, born September 6, 1910; Bonnie Ione, born July 6, 1911; Noel Arnold, born January 2, 1913; Aruel Gartha, born May 28, 1915; Rollie Claude (twin), born May 8, 1919; Ollie Maude (twin), born May 8, 1919; Oval Talley, June 17, 1921; Dola Lorene, born August 12, 1923; Walter Lloyd, born January 24, 1926; Edna Pearle, born February 22, 1930; Alvin Darrell, born August 9, 1932; and Clyda Joanne, January 1, 1938.

John Moore, the father of Walter Jackson, was born on Oct 1, 1845 and died on June 20, 1904. His mother, Delia Warren, was born February 19, 1853 and died March 22, 1924. Both are buried in the Hawkins Cemetery. Delia was the daughter of Lott Warren.

William H. Gray (the father of Fannie Nola) was born February 8, 1848 and died May 22, 1931. He married Sarah Anne Stephens on January 29, 1874 in Dade County. Sarah was born on November 15, 1850 and died June 22, 1931. (Submitted by Althea Moore, 5688 Walker Rd., Scappoose, OR 97056.)

    Walter and Fannie Moore were my great grandparents, Iam tring to find out if there is any Indian Blood. I always told there was some.
