Cleve was a World War I Veteran and enjoyed telling stories about the war and times of that period to his family and others in the Moore family.

Ethel’s parents were William Alexander and Margaret (Eckles) Moore. Mr. Moore was Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher of the early New Salem Methodist Church. Ethel grew up to be an example of real Christianity as she loved to go to Church and was very faithful in spite of being handicapped. She was known to make inspirational talks and was a prayer warrior.

The elder son, Felix, was known as an avid reader of Zane Grey books. Descendants of John and Ethel still reside close to the home place on Cloudland Canyon Road.
