William Presley Moore, born 2-18-1945 to Lewis C. and Margaret L. Moore, married Mary Lou Blevins on 11-23-1969. Mary is the daughter of Elinor Henegar, born 2-20-1920, and the late Earl Burwyn Blevins from Rising Fawn, Georgia.

Presley attended grammar school at New Salem and graduated from Dade County High School. He was drafted into the army, and after a stint in Vietnam, he returned to Lookout Mountain. He and Mary lived at New Salem on Cherokee Loop for several years. They have one son, William Presley Moore, Jr., born 8-24-1972. Presley and Mary divorced when their son was very young. Upon returning from the service, Presley worked in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for Wheland Company. He left there, taking a job as a carpenter. As a skilled carpenter, he has helped build many homes in the area including his own home. Living on a portion of his father’s farm, he enjoys building and does some contracting. He has been working for his brother, David, for several years. Presley keeps active working on his property, helping his father on the farm especially with the cattle and hay, working in the timber, and gardening.

William Presley Moore, Jr., (Billy), was born 8-24-1972 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to William Presley and Mary Lou Blevins Moore. After his parents divorced, he lived with his mother. For many years they have made their home in Chattanooga.

Billy attended Red Bank High School and Chattanooga State Technical School completing auto body training. His work experience has been as an automobile mechanic and auto body worker in Chattanooga.

Presently, Billy resides in Dade County in the New Salem Community near his dad. He is employed as a carpenter and is skilled in many phases of that vocation.
