1952 DADE COUNTY FAIR

The Head River Community won first prize for community exhibits at the 1952 Dade County Fair held last Friday and Saturday in the old skating rink building in Trenton. Rising Fawn was second. Last year Rising Fawn won first place.

The Fair, featuring large crowds both days, was one of the best ever held here. A livestock sale was held Saturday afternoon.

In the commercial exhibits, Gross Mercantile was the first place winner, followed by Georgia Power Company, second, and Trenton Furniture Company, third. Dade High was the winner in the high school division and New Salem was first and North Dade second in the elementary division.
